There are different methods depending on the computer connection type. With Thunderbolt, USB, or Dante, the update can be performed through the computer connection itself.
To do so, there needs to be an active connection to the computer (drivers installed when applicable, and successful playback verified). Download the correct updater for your operating system, and simply run it, following the prompts.Turn off the Aurora(n) when the process has completed successfully.
With a ProTools HD system the update must be performed via microSD card. The same method can be used with Thunderbolt, USB or Dante systems as well.
For this method, simply format the SD card in your computer using this formatter: https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/
Download and expand the Aurora(n) firmware update from the Lynx website, and copy it onto the microSD card. Insert the micro SD card into the Aurora(n), press the FUNCTION key and navigate to the "Firmware Update" page. Select the firmware update file and press SELECT. Follow the prompts to complete the process.
Turn off the Aurora(n) when the process has completed successfully.
