The Process is different for USB, Thunderbolt and Dante.
USB Windows:
1) Close app audio apps and the Hilo Remote app
2) Navigate to Windows Control Panel: Add/Remove programs. Locate Lynx USB Audio Driver. Right-click and choose "Uninstall.
3) Reboot the computer
4) Download and install the latest Hilo USB driver for Windows. This will also install the Hilo Remote Control application
5) Download and run the latest firmware updater for the Hilo. Only update if the new version differs from the existing version (this will be shown from the main page of the updater)
6) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch
7) Turn the unit back on.
8) Run the firmware updater again. This time, from the main screen, click "select unit to update" and choose the LT-USB card.
9) If the existing version is older from the version that the updater will program, run the updater on the LT-USB card.
10) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch.
11) Turn the unit back on and it will be completely up to date
USB macOS:
1) Close app audio apps and the Hilo Remote app
2) There is no driver for macOS, so we can skip the driver part
3) Download and run the latest firmware updater for the Hilo. Only update if the new version differs from the existing version (this will be shown from the main page of the updater)
4) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch
5) Turn the unit back on.
6) Run the firmware updater again. This time, from the main screen, click "select unit to update" and choose the LT-USB card.
7) If the existing version is older from the version that the updater will program, run the updater on the LT-USB card.
8) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch.
9) Turn the unit back on and it will be completely up to date
Thunderbolt Windows:
1) Close all audio apps and the Lynx Mixer
2) Click Start > All Programs > Lynx Studio Technology > Uninstall Lynx Driver
3) Reboot when prompted
4) Download and install the current driver build
5) Download and run the latest firmware updater for the Hilo. Only update if the new version differs from the existing version (this will be shown from the main page of the updater)
6) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch
7) Turn the unit back on.
8) Now download and install the current firmware updater for Thunderbolt
9) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch.
10) Turn the unit back on and it will be completely up to date
Thunderbolt macOS
1) Close all audio apps and the Lynx Mixer
2) Download the current driver build
3) The driver elements will be extracted to a folder called Lynx_OSX_XXX. Within that folder is a file called "Uninstall Lynx Driver". Run this program and reboot when prompted
4) Return to the Lynx_OSX_XXX folder and click Lynx_OSX.pkg to run the driver installer
5) Reboot when prompted
6) Download and run the latest firmware updater for the Hilo. Only update if the new version differs from the existing version (this will be shown from the main page of the updater)
7) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch
8) Turn the unit back on.
9) Now download and install the current firmware updater for Thunderbolt
10) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch.
11) Turn the unit back on and it will be completely up to date
Dante Windows AND macOS:
1) Close app audio apps and the Hilo Remote app
2) There is no Lynx Driver for the Hilo Dante. The Dante Controller and Dante Virtual Soundcard are available from audinate.com
3) Download and run the latest firmware updater for the Hilo. Only update if the new version differs from the existing version (this will be shown from the main page of the updater)
4) When complete turn off the Hilo with the back panel power switch
5) Turn the unit back on and it will be completely up to date
