First plug in the AC cord and connect a Thunderbolt cable between the Hilo and your computer. If you are using a computer with a Thunderbolt 3 port with a Hilo-TB (Thunderbolt 1) or a computer with a Thunderbolt 1 or 2 port with an Hilo-TB3 (Thunderbolt 3) an adapter such as the Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter will be necessary. Please note that although Apple's web site lists this adapter as supporting USB-C, the adapter will not work with USB ports, only Thunderbolt ports showing the Thunderbolt logo.

If you have not already installed the Thunderbolt driver, you will need to do so to allow the Thunderbolt device to be seen by the operating system. For Windows 10, the Thunderbolt driver can be downloaded from the Microsoft Store. For other versions of Windows, the Thunderbolt driver can be downloaded from the motherboard manufacturer's web site or from the Intel web site using the Intel driver & support assistant.
When the Hilo-TB or -TB3 is first powered up after connecting to the computer, a screen similar to the one below will appear:
Please select "Always Connect" then clock "OK" to proceed.

Next, download and install the latest Thunderbolt driver from the Lynx Website. When the installer completes, reboot the computer if prompted. Please Note: The installer will also install the Lynx Mixer.
